CIP Secures Flexible Solar Tax Equity

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners has inked a tax equity deal with a financial institution to finance a portfolio of small-utility scale solar assets in North Carolina.

SunTrust Robinson Humphrey is providing the $80 million check for the 160 MW Mitchell solar portfolio, which was developed by GreenGo Energy U.S.

The deal closed on Aug. 9. There is no debt associated with the portfolio.

CCA Group was CIP’s financial adviser on the financing, while Norton Rose Fulbright was the sponsor’s legal counsel.
